Part Time Policy

Individuals are not permitted to attend the convention on a part time basis.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

100% Full Refunds – For individuals who notify us of their cancellation on or before September 25, 2017.

50% Refund – For individuals who notify us of their cancellation on September 8, 2017 or before October 2, 2017.

No Refunds after October 2, 2017.

Policy on Transferring Registration

For logistical reasons, we cannot permit attendees to switch their registration with other individuals.

Who is eligible to attend a Graduates & Young Professionals Convention?

Convention attendees must be between the ages of 22 and 35 or, if younger than 22, have graduated from college.

How are the rooms set up?

All rooms have two double beds. Quads have two people per bed, Doubles have their own bed.

Can we request specific roommates?

Yes, you can request up to 1 roommate for a double room, and up to 3 roommates for a quad during the registration process. 

If you are the first roommate to register please indicate that you do not have a roommate code (by answering the question online) and one will automatically be generated for you. You will then pass that along to your roommates who will input it during their registration process.

We do our best to accommodate all roommate requests, but we cannot make any guarantees. The best way to ensure your request is accommodated, make sure that you and all your requested roommates use the same roommate code that you will receive on the registration form.

When do I find out who my roommates are?

When you arrive at convention.

Are children allowed at the convention?

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate children at this convention. If babysitting is something that would encourage you to attend convention, please let us know so that we can take it into consideration for future convention.

What does my registration fee include?

Registration includes 3 days and 2 nights at the San Diego Marriott, LA Jolla, with most meals included.

What if I can’t afford to pay for convention?

Lack of funds should never be a reason for missing out on an opportunity for spiritual growth. We have several options varying from payment plans to subsidizing the convention. If you feel you may need to take advantage of one of these options, please email us at info@lacoptsgyp.org. We respect the privacy of anyone who contacts us regarding payment for convention.

Is transportation provided?

We do not arrange transportation for attendees. If you are flying in, we recommend renting a car. If you need transportation, you can email us at info@lacoptsgyp.org and we will try to help you arrange transportation, but we cannot make any guarantees. Ultimate responsibility to arrange transportation rests with you. We highly recommend using the Facebook page to request rides from other attendees.

What if I live near the event, is there an option to attend the event without registering for a room?

Unfortunately, we do not offer any alternative registration options. We believe that in the interest of fellowship and spiritual growth, it is best for all attendees to register full-time and stay at the designated accommodations. With that said, you may register for the convention in its entirety and commute from home if you believe that option suits you better.
